State of Heights, first view of "passport", and final State of Successes covers

Heather is doing such a wonderful job with colorful, eye-catching covers. I'm sharing with you all the latest cover designs received.

Here we have the final cover for State of Successes. We only had to come up with five tries to get the font that everyone seems satisfied for the word "State". I like it. Very colorful. Very eye-catching. Super kid friendly. Even my daughter who doesn't really pick up books or look at covers too often likes it.

This is the first cover for the "passport" booklet. I've made some suggestions for changes - but this is what we are looking at for now.

And finally, the latest addition to the series, book #5, State of Heights. Hailie loves the font for the word "Heights" on this one. I love how Heather made it look like the tunnel and bridge were part of the mountain (they are not really connected in any way, shape or form in the state this title represents).

Drop me a note and let me know what you think - Mrs. E :)

Thanks, Rena. I think Heather deserves lots of praises for her work. I've got to finish a few edits on "Successes" to get to her for layout so I can hopefully get a proof copy ordered next week to have with me when I head to my next homeschool conference/convention in two weeks. I can't wait. I'll also have proof of "Train of Clues" and the Passport thing to take wth me so I'm going with lots of prrofs and hopefully will get orders as well as the having the first three books on hand - see you in the postings - E :)

I agree that the tunnel/bridge/mountain image is very cool. But I also like the simplicity of the passport one. Heather is definitely to be commended! What a cool partnership you guys have going.

Thanks, Carol. I'll be sure to let her know you approve. Really - I'm super impressed with what she's given me so far (of course I feel like a slave driver at times because I change my mind and she has to do things over again - took us like 9 or 10 or 11 times to get the right look for the cover of Train of Clues). I hope to have a proof copy of State of Successes and the Passport booklet by time I come to Charlotte in a couple of weeks. The turn around time has beenn super great but then again it doesn't hurt that the printing is being done in Charleston and that's like a hop, skip and jump away - lol.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th. I want to try to sit in one of your sessions - just to see if I can get some ideas from you - see you then - E :)

So glad the covers are a hit! It's great to read the awesome comments about them. And no, Elysabeth, you're not a slave driver. If you were I wouldn't have any recreational time in my day, but I do, so you aren't - lol!

Okay, back to work for me (that's somewhat a contradiction isn't it?)

You are funny, young lady. Back to work, I say, back to work - lol. (cracking the whip over here) - deadlines have to be met - only kidding. I think we are doing well considering we have really only been working together for a couple of months and already we have a decent schedule going on when things need to get out. I understand you have other things to do and I don't expect you to concentrate completely on my series, although I do know this is a big project. Keep up the good job - E :)
