Book submitted to printers

Woohooo!!! As of yesterday morning, the whole manuscript and cover design had been submitted to the printers. Vivian uses LSI as her print source. It seems that this month LSI had been running a special deal on book submissions; submit by the 30th of June and you have no set up fees. Vivian submitted four books total this month. All these books will make debut appearances at Decatur Book Festival on Labor Day weekend. All books are available for preorder here; "State of Wilderness" is only $10.99. It's amazing the process it takes to really get a book printed.

Vivian and I have been working for almost two months, most every day getting "State of Wilderness" ready to go to the printers. Usually authors and illustrators don't get the option of working together like I had with Aidana but since she and I knew each other before Vivian took me on, then Vivian let her continue to consult with me on things. (And Aidana is my agent as well. - lol) The process takes a lot of time and I'm glad I got out of my contract with Publisher #1 and went with Vivian; I would never have experienced what goes into making the book ready for print first hand as I did these past two months.

I'm very pleased with all the illustrations and the cover. I hope the public will like them as much as I do. The feel is very kid friendly. The illustrations fall in with the clues very nicely. I can't wait to see the first one actually in print. So happy reading everyone; don't forget to order your copy today and have it in time for school to start. See you all in the postings - E :)
