Education in America

Recently I've been seeing commercials regarding the new Core Curriculum Standards (used to be National Standards) and a commercial about a World Science event in which students from all over the world participated. The Science event commercial shows that the USA placed 17th; the gist being that we need to help our teachers help our students do better. Here is an infographic highlighting more on the Education in the United States.

I'll share more of these infographs as I get them - see you all in the postings - Mrs. E :)

A truly fascinating set of facts, Elysabeth. Seeing that just over 40% of America’s population holds a college degree, is shocking. I believe more needs to be done to make education more affordable and equally available to everyone. How we accomplish this is open for debate. Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks, Gary

I think these ads that are popping up and these infographics are a start; after all, it does take a village to raise a child and awareness is key.

This group approached me and asked me to post some infographs and I'm happy to help out especially since it is geared toward something I believe in - education for everyone - E :)
